The Right Moves More than 175 dancers and volunteers attended the inaugural “Dance for the Cure,” featuring salsa, swing, tango, hip hop and belly dancing lessons. The brainchild of 12-year-old Mara Mordecai, the fundraiser honored the memory of her father, Monte, who died of esophageal cancer last March, leaving behind his wife, Mindy, left, and another daughter. Chief of Thoracic Surgery Steve Yang, right—a ballroom dance aficionado—taught a class. The event raised more than $21,000 for esophageal cancer research at Johns Hopkins.
