Cheap, Cheap, Cheap!

I have personally received (and overheard) an overwhelming amount of negative comments about the license plate holder “rewards” (“Best Hospital?” July). The consensus is that [this year’s giveaways] are flimsy beyond belief, look cheap, are cheap, and offer Johns Hopkins yet more free publicity at the expense of employees.

It would be nice if employees got something which they considered a reward: an extra $15 in their paycheck, a free meal, a day of free parking, a half-day off, etc. When management does a good job they get significant pay raises and bonuses. We get lunch bags, coffee mugs and umbrellas.
