May flowers as lovely as these
will be on display on the first floor of JHOC as part
of a small flower show. Using specimens from their
own gardens, exhibitors will compete for the best
entries in more than a dozen health-care-inspired
classes like “Hope in a Bottle” (cascading
fresh flowers hung on an IV pole) and “Miracles
Happen” (a design in a test tube rack). “It
is our intention to provide a bit of visual inspiration
for the many employees who care for so many others,”
said one of the organizers, Jane Drake Cummings. “Under
the Dome: Hope, Healing and Wellness,” a flower
show presented by the Green Spring Valley Garden Club
and the Garden Club of Twenty, both members of the
Garden Club of America. May 3–4, JHOC 1.
