Stevie V. and the Heart Attackers, that bad-boy band replete with
Hopkins heart docs and named for founder Steve Valenti, of Howard
County General's Central Maryland Heart Center (foreground), played
its annual (and only) gig at Heartfest, held at Martin's West.
They teamed up with a pro, celebrity guest Vicki Lawrence, as
she belted out her 1973, No. 1 hit single, "The Night the
Lights Went out in Georgia." Heartfest 2003 netted $100,000
for the Preventive Cardiology Center directed by Roger Blumenthal. |
