Biography
Dr. Laurie Herscher graduated from Stanford University. She received her medical degree from George Washington University. After interning in Baltimore, she returned to complete her residency training at the National Cancer Institute in Radiation Oncology. She has been board-certified since 1994.
She remained at the NCI as an attending physician, where her research interests focused on combined modality treatment of advanced cancers, especially head and neck and digestive tract cancers, as well as on developing therapies for chronic radiation side effects.
