Bio
Biography
Dr. Marvin Max Baer earned his DDS degree from the University of Texas Dental School, Houston, Texas. Upon graduation he entered the US Air Force. During his career in the Air Force he earned his Master of Science degree in Prosthodontics at Ohio State University. He also completed a two year residency in Prosthodontics at Malcolm Grow USAF Medical Center, Washington, DC. Upon retirement in 1985 as a full Colonel he accepted a position at the University of Maryland Dental School.
Dr. Baer is a diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics, and his work in the Johns Hopkins Department of Otolaryngology includes the prosthetic rehabilitation of cancer patients as well as the treatment of other prosthodontic patients.
His honors include the Legion of Merit, US Air Force. He was elected as a Fellow, American College of Dentists, a Fellow, International College of Dentists. He is a Life Fellow, American College of Prosthodontists and a Life Member of the American Dental Association. Dr. Baer is also a member of the Academy of Osseointgration, the premier international organization devoted to the study of dental implants.
