Bio
Biography
Dr. Eckhauser completed all of his surgical training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and spent six months at the Frenchay Hospital and the Bristol Royal Infirmary in England as a Senior registrar in Thoracic Surgery. He served as the Charles G. Child III Professor of Surgery and Chief of the Division of GI Surgery at the University of Michigan for 25 years before returning to Johns Hopkins Hospital in 2001 where he now serves as Professor of Surgery and Director of Clinical Operations. His main clinical interests include alimentary tract surgery, with a special interest in pancreatobiliary diseases, inflammatory bowel disease, GI tract motility disturbances, and complex re-operative surgery of the GI tract.
