Professional Highlights
Dr. Prince has over 25 years of clinical experience having practiced in many settings. They include private practice ophthalmology, private practice optometry, nursing homes, and a retirement community before coming to Wilmer in 2002.

Dr. Prince specializes in primary eye care. In addition to providing routine eye care and fitting contact lenses, he treats minor anterior segment pathology such as dry eye, corneal abrasions, and red eye.

Counseling patients concerning the prevention of eye disease is a passion. Patients are frequently counseled concerning the positive ocular effects of smoking cessation, preventing or delaying the progression of cataracts, and minimizing their risk for developing diabetic eye disease. The early detection of eye disease such as glaucoma or macular degeneration is a priority. When indicated, he assists patients in navigating the vast Wilmer network by sending patients needing specialized eye care to the appropriate Wilmer specialist.

Dr. Prince teaches ocular clinical skills to the medical students at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and direct ophthalmoscopy to the Bayview Medical Center residents.
