Bio

Biography
Dr. Danny Song holds joint appointments in the Departments of Urology and Oncology. He received his medical degree with honors from the Medical College of Georgia and completed residency training at Johns Hopkins.

His clinical activities involve treating patients with cancers of the genitourinary tract (prostate, bladder, testicular cancers) and cancers of the lung, for which he uses both external beam, brachytherapy, and stereotactic body radiation therapy to deliver therapeutic radiation. Dr. Songs research interests include development and refinement of new imaging methods to improve targeting of radiation, as well as innovative means of delivering higher doses of radiation. He is currently funded by the National Cancer Institute to develop an improved seed visualization method for prostate brachytherapy, in collaboration with scientists from the Johns Hopkins Engineering Research Center.
