Bio

Biography
Dr. King''s research interests have focused on co-occurring psychiatric disorders in patients with substance use disorders and integration of co-occurring psychiatric disorder treatment with substance use disorder treatment. More recently, he has developed adaptive treatment strategies to extend the continuum of care for patients requiring long-term substance use treatment to minimize the intrusiveness of treatment while ensuring adequate monitoring and treatment response. These strategies have included Internet web-based videoconferencing as a way to expand the continuum of care for patients who require long-term substance abuse treatment. He has extensive expertise in the treatment of opioid dependent pregnant women with methadone and other medications.
