Biography
Deborah Sellmeyer, M.D., medical director of the Johns Hopkins Metabolic Bone Center and associate professor of medicine at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, is an internationally recognized expert in osteoporosis and other metabolic bone diseases. She previously was director of the University of California, San Francisco/Mt. Zion Osteoporosis Center.
With interests in endocrinology, osteoporosis, nutrition and all metabolic bone disorders, Dr. Sellmeyer enjoys caring for patients and takes pride in creating custom treatment plans to improve each person''s bone health. She is board-certified in internal medicine and endocrinology/metabolism and currently conducting research on the role of nutrition and environmental factors in bone health.
