We are able to perform testing on:
- Whole
blood (in EDTA)
- Chorionic
villi and cultured chorionic villus cells
(submitted with maternal blood for
maternal cell contamination studies)
- Cultured
amniocytes (submitted with maternal blood
for maternal cell contamination studies)
- Frozen,
unfixed tissue
- DNA
extracted by a CLIA certified laboratory ONLY
if there is no other sample available or
obtaining another sample would present
extreme hardship for the patient. Please
call the laboratory to discuss.
If this is a prenatal
study,
1) We require a sample of maternal blood (5-10 cc
in a lavender tube) to rule out maternal cell
contamination.
2) We require that a back-up culture be
maintained elsewhere until testing is complete.

Note: We require 2 patient identifiers on both the
sample and the paperwork submitted with the sample. The
patient name and date of birth are preferred, but an internal
identifier like specimen ID or medical record number may also
be used. We are not able to test samples that are not
properly identified.
