Proteus Syndrome and Proteus-Like Syndrome

Test:		Sequencing of a portion of the the promoter and the coding regions of PTEN

Sensitivity:		About 5% (2/42, 0-22%) of patients with Proteus syndrome and 60% (3/5) of patients with Proteus-like syndrome have PTEN mutations detectable by sequence analysis. This assay will not detect PTEN deletions.
