Prepare for Orleans Street changes on April 11-12
Because of an event related to the opening of The Johns Hopkins Hospital’s Sheikh Zayed Tower and The Charlotte R. Bloomberg Children’s Center, there will be lane closures on Orleans Street that will impact traffic and parking around the hospital. Please prepare for the following changes.
- On Wednesday, April 11, at 11 a.m., the west bound lane of Orleans Street (immediately in front of the new buildings) will be closed. Beginning at 3 p.m., Orleans Street will be completely closed to through traffic between Broadway and Wolfe Street. Orleans Street will reopen at 11 p.m. to both directions of travel.
- On Thursday, April 12, at 11 a.m., the west bound lane of Orleans Street (immediately in front of the new buildings) will be closed. Beginning at 3 p.m., Orleans Street will be completely closed to through traffic between Broadway and Wolfe Street. Orleans Street will reopen at 11 p.m. to both directions of travel.
- During the times that Orleans Street is closed, patients will be able to enter and exit the Orleans garage via Fayette Street. Prior to exiting, patients and guests should pay for their parking in the parking machines located in the elevator lobbies.
- All evening/night shift staff and asked not to park in the Orleans garage.
