Susan Porter, CRNP, CDE

Susan Porter, a family nurse practitioner at the Johns Hopkins Diabetes Center. She earned a nursing degree at the College of Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati. She also earned a masters in nursing, with a specialty in family primary care at the Johns Hopkins University.

 Susan Porter joined the Diabetes Center in 2013. Prior to joining our team, she spent 13 years working in Primary Care and that is where she developed her passion to work in the field of diabetes. “Diabetes is an epidemic in this country and I want to work to make an impact. This is chronic disease where the patient has a pivotal role in managing their disease; I want to use my skills as a clinician to educate and empower my patients to manage their disease and improve their health. I work closely with the endocrinologists, other nurse practitioners and dietician in the office to ensure each patient gets individualized complete diabetes care.”
