Newly diagnosed? Our one day class "Skills for Surviving with Diabetes" provides a quick summary of what newly diagnosed patients need to know to manage their diabetes. During this class you will receive education from our complete diabetes care team, including a nurse educator, pharmacist, and nutritionist. The class covers such topics as: how to check blood sugars, nutrition basics, and complications due to diabetes, among others. Many of our attendees follow the class with a one-on-one meeting with our nurse practitioner or dietitian.
