Scientist: Education: Craniofacial Symposium

Description

This program is designed for basic science researchers, general pediatricians, dentists, plastic surgeons, neurosurgeons and clinical geneticists who wish to enlighten themselves with the new results in the molecular biology and clinical management of craniofacial development and placing those results into clinical context. This is not an annual event, instead, a unique opportunity to hear from world-wide experts in this rapidly growing field.

Objectives

Following this program, the participant should be able to:

  • Identify the genes implicated in craniofacial dysmorphology
  • Identify the transmission process for those genes
  • Identify the concomitant environmental factors
  • Describe the developmental process of craniofacial development
  • Plan an appropriate diagnostic and treatment approach to the newborn with a craniofacial abnormality.
