Operation
Smile
is an organization that crosses national and cultural barriers
to bring facial and reconstructive surgery to medically needy
youngsters. Teams of medical professionals volunteer their
time and medical and surgical expertise throughout the world.
The members of The Center for Craniofacial Development and
Disorders participated in the first domestic stop for Operation
Smile's World Journey of Hope '99. It took place in Baltimore,
Maryland. It was fun! Standing left to right in the Johns
Hopkins Pediatric Clinical Research Unit: Linda M. Ryan, Vice
Chair of Operation Smile; Simeon Boyadjiev, Postdoctoral Fellow
of the Center; Donna L. Dolch, Chapter Administrator of Operation
Smile.
