Biography

Shawna Mudd, D.N.P., C.P.N.P., is a pediatric nurse practitioner at Johns Hopkins Community Physicians Odenton. She is an assistant professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing in the Department of Acute and Chronic Care and teaches in the nurse practitioner program.

Dr. Mudd grew up in Maryland and received her master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and her doctoral degree from the Johns Hopkins University. She has spent 15 years in the pediatric emergency department at Johns Hopkins and is board certified in both pediatric primary care and pediatric acute care.

Dr. Mudd lives in Severna Park with her husband and three children. She was selected as the 2015 Outstanding Nurse Educator by the Maryland Nurses Association.
