Who has Hopkins Hands?
Whether you are a caregiver on the front lines in a clinical unit, an administrative assistant in an office setting or a nutrition services staff member who delivers meals to patients, every employee of Johns Hopkins Medicine must practice good hand hygiene to protect our patients, visitors, colleagues and friends. We all have Hopkins Hands.
Individuals from across Johns Hopkins Medicine are sharing stories about why hand hygiene is important to them. Hopkins infection control leaders are offering best practices and celebrating success stories of teams that are “getting it right.” Patient safety leaders are working with JHM entities to boost hand hygiene compliance scores across the system.
JHM Hand Hygiene Compliance
January - September 2013
Please note that hand hygiene compliance scores currently are unavailable for Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital, Johns Hopkins Community Physicians and Johns Hopkins Home Care Group. For more information, please contact your local hand hygiene leader. Read the JHM 2013 Hand Hygiene Report for more details on your unit or service line's performance. Bars that are green and yellow reflect those units, roles or services that met the FY13 goal of 85% but are at risk of not meeting the FY14 goal of 88% should current trend continue.
