Press the lamp power switch on the Fluormax-2 from panel. When the lamp is on, the indicator light is red. Make sure the boot disk is in the floppy drive and toggle the FluorMax-2 power switch to the ON position. Turn on all peripheral devices such as printers and plotters (all devices other than computer). Turn on the computer and access Windows Program Manager. From the ISA Group Window, launch DataMax and select a layout. Selecting a layout tells the software to initialize the system and look for any hardware specified by the layout configuration. The instrument control center will appear and you have a choice of accessing one of the four available applications - Experiment/Post Processing, RTD, Setup or Constant Wavelength Analysis. Calibrate the FluoMax-2. Perform experiments. After finishing experiments, close the DataMax Std. Window. Turn the power off. Five minutes later, turn the lamp off.
