Johns Hopkins Burn Center Faculty and Staff Attend the 38th Annual Meeting of the American Burn Association

Beginning in September of 2005, the Johns Hopkins Burn Center began preparing research findings to be presented at the 38th annual meeting of the American Burn Association in Las Vegas, NV.  Burn Center faculty were proud to have over 30 research abstracts accepted by the ABA with topics including immunological responses to burn injury, risk factors for mortality in burns, nutrition, surgical techniques and psychological aspects of burn injury recovery.  Burn center staff from many different disciplines attended the annual conference to further advance the team's knowledge of burn care.  Additionally, Dr. Stephen Milner was invited to lead a discussion about the ethics of performing a facial transplant where he lectured to over 1500 attending members, patient and clinicians alike.
