Psychological Services

The psychology team, which consists of faculty psychologists and postdoctoral fellows, provides services at both the adult and pediatric burn unit.  Common burn-related clinical issues may include, delirium, sleep, pain, acute stress disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), body image dissatisfaction, and depression.  Psychology services are provided on both an inpatient and outpatient basis in an effort to help patients and their families achieve maximum recovery.  The psychology team at the Johns Hopkins Burn Center is nationally recognized as leading clinicians and researchers in the burn care and rehabilitation community.
