Patrick S. Duggan is a Research Program Assistant at the Berman Institute of Bioethics where he provides general research support for the Institute on a wide variety of bioethics topics and also manages a comprehensive database of bioethics articles published in academic journals. He assists core faculty member Mary Catherine Beach with research on patient-physician communication and on the related issues of respect for persons and respect for autonomy in clinical care. He also works with the Program in Ethics and Brain Sciences (PEBS), which explores the emerging philosophical and ethical issues raised by the latest advances in neuroscience. Mr. Duggan received his bachelor of arts degree with honors in biomedical ethics from Brown University. |
