Named to head the Berman Institute of Bioethics's communications in July 2006, Ed Bodensiek directs the institute’s marketing communications and media relations. Ed is currently leading an effort to work with faculty, staff, and other stakeholders to “re-imagine” the institute’s overall communications strategy, starting with a new web site and online presence. Ed has more than 10 years of experience in marketing communications and public affairs, mostly in the non-profit sector. Most recently Ed served as vice president of public affairs for JA Worldwide, the world’s largest organization dedicated to economics education. Prior to his government relations work for JA Worldwide in Washington D.C., Ed served as national spokesperson for its U.S.-based operation, Junior Achievement. Ed has also led education advocacy at the state level. In previous roles with JA Worldwide, Ed led the organization’s national web marketing effort and managed regional public relations programs to promote business ethics, financial education, and various workforce readiness programs. He has also served as a curriculum editor. Ed also worked briefly as a writer for corporate training programs throughout Colorado. Ed holds a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton. |
