Dr. Nachman is director of the food production and public health program at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. He holds joint appointments as assistant scientist in the Department of Environmental Health Sciences and Health Policy and Management.

Dr. Nachman is expert in environmental health and food system policy, serving as advisor to federal and state legislators on issues of food production, public health and food safety.

He has co-authored over 40 peer reviewed journal articles, technical reports and book chapters.  His research in chemical and microbial hazards associated with food production has been widely publicized by the media.

Dr. Nachman received his doctorate from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
