Dr. Michele Manahan is assistant professor of plastic and reconstructive surgery and The Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Her current practice focuses on both breast reconstruction and aesthetic rejuvenation of the face, trunk and extremities. Her academic research interests include patient safety initiatives as well as optimizing surgical techniques to address patient satisfaction and outcomes.
Actively researching operative methods to maximize results and minimize complications, she has published multiple book chapters and scientific papers in national peer-reviewed journals.
She serves in national leadership positions in medical organizations such as the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and state leadership positions in medical organizations such as MedChi as well as vice speaker in the Maryland State Medical Association House of Delegates. She is also a member of the Baltimore City Medical Board of Trustees.
She attended Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where she earned her medical degree as well as completed a residency.
