An expert in geriatric psychiatry and mood disorders, Dr. Susan Lehmann is an associate professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She is the founding psychiatrist and medical director of the Geriatric Psychiatry Day Hospital, which provides intensive outpatient treatment for patients age 60 and older with psychiatric disorders that significantly interfere with their functioning and well-being, but do not require the 24-hour care of an inpatient psychiatric unit.
Dr. Lehmann is a member of the Advisory Group for the Office of Women in Science and Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
After earning her medical degree at Cornell University School of Medicine, Dr. Lehmann completed her psychiatry residency and a fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at The Johns Hopkins Hospital.
