Our Leadership

The Johns Hopkins Avon Foundation Breast Center’s leadership is made up of dedicated professionals, some of whom have also been personally affected by breast cancer.

Lillie Shockney, R.N., is a two-time breast cancer survivor. Having been a patient herself, she built the Johns Hopkins Breast Center program to take a patient-centered approach to breast cancer care. Nagi Khouri, M.D., radiologist and the director of breast imaging, has dedicated his career to helping women with breast cancer. Ted Tsangaris, M.D., is a nationally renowned surgical oncologist who specializes exclusively in the treatment of breast cancer and is our medical director and the chief of breast surgery.
