It is important that breast cancer patients and survivors have physicians who can manage their care in light of the diagnosis and treatment they have received. Breast cancer survivors may have an increased risk of other cancers, such as ovarian cancer. At Johns Hopkins Medicine, we have gynecologists who specialize in the care and monitoring of breast cancer patients. We also have gynecologists who specialize in fertility preservation since breast cancer treatment can sometimes affect fertility.
