Request an appointment at either one of our two convenient locations. Both the downtown Baltimore and Green Spring Station centers provide comprehensive breast cancer screening, diagnosis and treatment services.  Radiation oncology is also provided at our location in Columbia.

Johns Hopkins Breast Center in Downtown Baltimore, MD

Newly diagnosed breast cancer patients at the downtown Breast Center on our East Baltimore campus first see an oncology nurse and a breast surgical oncologist. If additional imaging studies are needed, they can be performed during that visit. Most patients leave with written information about the recommended surgery and an appointment for the procedure. 

The Avon Foundation Breast Center is located in the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center on the Johns Hopkins medical campus.  When you enter the Outpatient Center, go to the main information desk in the first floor lobby. Someone will greet you and direct you to the appropriate check-in location. To get to the Breast Center, take the first set of elevators on the right to the 4th floor. The Center is across from the elevators and to the right.

Johns Hopkins Breast Center at Green Spring Station in Lutherville, Maryland

The multidisciplinary clinic at Green Spring Station in Lutherville, MD, is designed to evaluate patients with known breast cancer. For patients living in Suburban Baltimore and points north, a single-day consultation with an oncology nurse, a breast surgical oncologist, radiation oncologist and in some cases, a breast plastic and reconstructive surgeon is offered in a convenient location. If a patient has an abnormality, she can be seen by a breast specialist for evaluation.

We offer:

• Same day consultation with a surgical oncologist and radiation oncologist within 48 hours (business days)
• Medical oncology consultation within four weeks (these appointments are scheduled post-operatively when full pathology is available for the oncologist to be able to make medical decisions about treatment planning)
• Mammography and breast ultrasound within 24 hours (provided by American Radiology at Green Spring Station)
• Biopsy and breast MRI appointments within one week (provided by American Radiology at Green Spring Station)
• Clinical trials (for surgical oncology, radiation oncology and medical oncology)
• Patient and family education information to prepare a patient for decisions about treatment options and what to expect throughout treatment
• For newly diagnosed women, one-on-one support by a survivor volunteer and an oncology nurse who is also a survivor
