Immersion Calls

The immersion calls helped participating hospital teams to gain familiarity with the concepts and interventions applied throughout the Stop BSI project. The first 30-45 minutes of each immersion call were devoted to a didactic presentation, given by nationally recognized faculty from Johns Hopkins.

The last 15-20 minutes of each call were reserved to address any questions from the hospital teams.

The immersion calls provided a thorough overview of the Comprehensive Unit-base Safety Program model and how to implement it in hospital units, as well as the interventions to eliminate central line-associated bloodstream infections.
