RAR is starting (Jan 2010) a research-based Helicobacter eradication program using medicated diet. Costs to SOM investigators will be limited to the costs of Helicobacter testing ($125) plus per diems. Animals will be isolated in separate quarantine space for the duration of the dietary treatment and post-diet follow up (12 weeks). If you are interested in submitting young (less than 6 weeks of age) founder mice to this program for Helicobacter eradication, please contact Julie Watson.
Review and approval of lab space is REQUIRED prior to housing mice in RAR high risk return (HRR) housing. HRR housing is currently located in Ross 3, and there are also HRR racks available in School of Public Health, Woods Wilmer, CRB, asthma & allergy and Homewood. If you have questions or concerns regarding use of high risk return areas, please contact Dr. Julie Watson or Lindsay Barnes.
