JHU maintains the expectation that all veterinary care for JHU vertebrate research animals will be provided by RAR veterinarians or with RAR veterinary guidance to ensure quality, contemporary standards of care. Clinical care is provided by four clinical faculty certified as Diplomates of the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine and by six veterinarians preparing for certification in this veterinary specialty. Surgical and technical support is provided by two large animal veterinary technicians and four rodent technical specialists. Daily husbandry procedures are provided by trained animal technicians led by the Director of Laboratory Animal Management and her capable supervisory staff. BACK TO FRONT PAGE
