Rodent Behavioral Phenotyping Screen

THIS SERVICE IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE

RAR offers a basic behavioral screen of mutant mice to determine if they have obvious defects in sight, hearing or motor function.   The screen can be compared to SHIRPA stage one or a neurobehavioral physical examination.

It should detect obvious deficits in the senses or motor function that would benefit from, or impact in-depth behavioral testing.  We generally require at least 10 of each major genotype to test, and animals should be at F3 or more in backcrossing.  You may download a powerpoint that describes the testing. NOTE: the powerpoint contains videos and will not run properly off the website  - you must select the "SAVE" option and run it off your computer.
