Procedure for placing clinical calls

NOTE: There is no charge for clinical calls for animal health issues.

1. Label the cage(s) with an orange clinical call card.  If you can't find one, please ask the animal care technician in your area. Mark the card with your name, date, contact information and problem.

2. Call 410-955-3273 to place the clinical call. You will be asked for the facility, room number, animal number, cage, protocol number and lab contact information. You will also be asked to briefly describe the problem or concern.

3. You will receive a call from a veterinary technician or veterinarian and examination/treatment will be discussed.

4. Evenings, weekends, and holidays you will be directed to the pager number for the veterinarian on call.
