Johns Hopkins Medicine - ACCM: Pediatric Remote Anesthesia
Johns Hopkins ACCM Home
Pediatric anesthesia attending, Dr. Shivani Patel, and pediatric anesthesia fellow, Dr. Justin Hamrick, take some time to relax between cases in the pediatric OR control center.

Pediatric Remote Anesthesia

Residents on the pediatric remote rotation provide perioperative care for children in locations other than the operating room. This includes places like the GI suite, MRI, CT scan, neuroradiology, and the cardiac catheterization laboratory. This rotation teaches residents to provide safe anesthesia in an arena that does not have all the resources of the OR.
