Pediatric Pain

This optional, one-month rotation allows senior (CA-3) residents to gain experience in managing acute and chronic pediatric pain under the guidance of our experienced pediatric pain team. One resident per month rounds with the pain team daily, managing patient-controlled IV analgesia, patient controlled epidural/caudal analgesia, peripheral nerve catheters, and more traditional pain control regimens. Residents also have an opportunity to work with a pediatric anesthesiologist in the Blaustein Pain Treatment Center, where they see pediatric chronic pain patients on an outpatient basis.
