Bayview OB

Many residents desire additional exposure to high-risk obstetric anesthesia. Some residents assigned to OB anesthesia will actually be at the Bayview campus. Additional time on the OB service at Bayview is an ideal way to gain experience in the perioperative care of high-risk parturients. Senior residents will often request additional time here to gain autonomy in the OB operating room and supervision varies commensurate with experience. This rotation also includes didactics, which consist of board prep sessions and morning report-style lectures. This rotation is for 1-2 residents at a time and they work during the day (7a-7p) while the night is covered by night float.
