5th All Africa Anaesthesia Congress
Drs. John B. Sampson and Kayode Williams led Johns Hopkins ACCM effort to assist the Egyptian Society of Anesthesiologists in hosting the 5th All Africa Anaesthesia Congress in Cairo, Egypt.
The All Africa Anaesthesia Congress is a once per 4 year event which brings anesthesia and critical care medicine physicians and nurses from throughout the African continent to for the purpose of continuing medical education, research presentations and to develop strategies for the improvement of anesthesia care in Africa.

Pain Education Research Project in United Arab Emirate
Drs. Marie Hanna and Kayode Williams joined Drs. Rasha Jabri and Amr Zidan (Adjunct ACCM Faculty in the UAE) in conducting a Middle Eastern Regional Pain Conference in Abu Dhabi. They met with many local health care leaders and multinationals with interest in improving pain management there. They have established an education research project on site in the UAE.
