Universal Anesthesia Machine Project

The Universal Anaesthesia Machine (UAM)

Drs. Eric Jackson, John Sampson and Ben Lee are leading a project to study the introduction of a Universal Anesthesia Machine designed for use in austere environments. The ACCM team project goal is to create an educational curriculum around the use and introduction of the UAM, deliver the equipment and first training sessions on site in Sierra Leone, to study the proliferation of the use of the equipment by the in-country trainers, and to monitor the effects remotely.
