The All Africa Anaesthesia Congress is a once per four years continent wide event which takes place at a different location each cycle. The 2009 All Africa Anaesthesia Congress took place in Nairobi, Kenya and was strongly supported by the Austere Anesthesia Health Outcomes Research Group. Support of the congress included web based promotion, a $10,000 education grant the the congress host (The Kenya Society of Anaesthesia), facilitation of an FCCS course education grant from the Society of Critical Care Medicine, organization an instruction at the FCCS course and participation on the Scientific Organizing Committee.
