
On June 30, Edward D. Miller, M.D., dean of the medical faculty and CEO of Johns Hopkins Medicine, will retire after serving Johns Hopkins Medicine for the past 15 years. Join Hopkins faculty, physicians, students and staff as we remember his contributions.
Monday, June 11: Moving Academic Medicine Forward: A Conference to Honor Edward D. Miller, M.D., Dean of the Medical Faculty and CEO of Johns Hopkins Medicine

This daylong conference looks back and recognizes Dean Miller’s accomplishments during his 15 years of transformational leadership and looks forward and considers the future of academic medicine. U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius is the keynote speaker. Also features national leaders and experts in each of the areas of our tripartite mission—patient care, education and research. A reception will follow from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Turner Concourse.
Tuesday, June 12: Inside the Dean’s Studio

Come and hear a candid interview with our Dean/CEO of 15 years, Edward D. Miller, at his last Johns Hopkins Medicine Town Hall Meeting. Participants in this unique celebration of Dr. Miller’s extraordinary leadership will get to know the personal side of Dr. Miller through a “James Lipton” style interview. Seating is limited, so be sure to arrive early. Overflow seating will be available in the Chevy Chase Conference Room and Hurd Hall. The first 50 attendees who arrive will receive small booklet commemorating the transformation Dr. Miller has led at Johns Hopkins Medicine.
