“Before my arrival at Hopkins, I had a lot of preconceived notions and apprehensions about being at such a renowned institution. Intimidation and fear were on the list.... However upon my very first day, all that was dispelled by the welcome of the department... I soon realized what makes this place like no other... the people and academic environment all promote advancement and team effort... Everyone has a role there intricately intertwined with the end goal of caring for patients. It still amazes me how committed to education the faculty are. Cardiac anesthesia particularly at a place with such high volume and pathology was for sure challenging but at the end of the day so fulfilling. I got amazing cardiac anesthesia training by the nicest people in the business.”
