My major focus at present is in the field of medical informatics, particularly as it applies to the perioperative period, critical care medicine, and remote management systems. Additionally, I am interested in the seamlees integration of clinical and administrative data for use in continuous quality management and for leveraging Managed Care contracts. I hope the culmination of this body of work will be in improved clinical decision making translating into improved patient care, medical education, and research processes.

At present we "touch data a hundred times and utilize it once", in the future we must "touch data once and utilize it a hundred times"!
