Ivor Berkowitz, M.D., BCh., Associate Professor

My clinical research interests include an experiential training program utilizing standardized patients and involving members of the ICU team to improve end-of-life communication skills to enhance organ donation. Other clinical investigations include study of the anesthetic and perioperative complications of patients with dwarfing syndromes (spondyloephiphyseal dysplasia and diastrophic dysplasia) Basic science interest include pathophysiology of cerebrovascular dysfunction
Current Research Activities:

  1. Anesthesia implications of dwarfism
  2. Cerebrocirculatory derangements in meningitis
  3. Techniques to improve consentrate for organ donation.
