Setting up Email Client for Remote Access

Once your JHEM email account is active, you will need to configure your email client settings. We recommend that all connections to the JHEM server be secure, via SSL. If you use Netscape, Eudora or Outlook to access your account, use the following settings for your email client:

Your Account Name: Your JHED LID Your JHED LID
Incoming POPS hostname (using port 995): pop.jhu.edu pop.jhmi.edu
Incoming IMAPS hostname (using port 993): imap.jhu.edu imap.jhmi.edu
Outgoing SMTP hostname: smtp.johnshopkins.edu smtp.johnshopkins.edu
Off-Campus Outgoing Authenticated SMTP hostname (choose your client below for more information): smtp.johnshopkins.edu smtp.johnshopkins.edu
Web Client hostname: jhem.jhu.edu jhem.jhmi.edu
