Making A Gift To The ATP Center
The Eugene and Mary B. Meyer Center for Advanced Transfusion Practices is poised to make a significant difference in transfusion alternatives and the study of blood disorders that previously were treated by transfusion. In our clinical program we have seen many patients treated for medical and surgical conditions without receiving transfusions. In our research program we have started several studies that promise to replace transfusions. And, in our educational program, our physicians have traveled to several countries where we have educated practitioners in methods that prevent transfusion. Our web site serves as an important way patients, doctors and nurses learn about transfusion alternatives.
For these programs to develop, we invite you to join with us in becoming a donor to the
ATP Center. Gifts to the Center can be made for many different purposes:
- To help patients who do not have insurance or a means of payment to receive treatment (transfusion alternatives).
- To provide support for our clinic, i.e., videos for patient viewing during treatment, other patient amenities, new clinical equipment, patient education material, etc.
- To help our research efforts
- To further our goal of educating health practitioners around the world about advanced transfusion practices
- Unrestricted gift, helping all of the above areas
Gifts can be made in the following ways:
- Support may be made as an outright gift, a pledge payable over a period of five years, a life-income gift or a bequest.
- Gifts can be made in the form of cash, credit card, appreciated securities, real estate or personal property.
- Some individuals create endowments at The ATP Center. Endowed gifts (with a minimum amount) allow the opportunity to give in perpetuity (only the interest from the contribution is used).
- Gifts may be made in honor or memory of someone.
All gifts should be made to Johns Hopkins University – The ATP Center. Contributions are tax-deductible in accordance with the Internal Revenue Code.
