"In Vitro Immunologic Response to Drug Allergens"

Description:
Have you been treated with  penicillin ANTIBIOTICS?
Have you taken penicillin or amoxicillin for at least 7 days within the past 5 years? or
Have you had an allergic reaction to those antibiotics within the past 5 years?
Are you 18 to 70 years of age?
If you said “YES”, you may be able to be in a research study being done to learn why some people are allergic to certain antibiotics
This study involves 2 - 4 visits and 2 - 4 blood draws
Volunteers will be paid for time

"Clinical Trial of Immunotherapy with a Candidate Extract of Non-ammoniated Latex"

Description: If you have a known allergy to Latex, we are conducting a Phase I trial of immunotherapy (injection therapy).  Subjects will receive increasing doses of injected latex extract, with repeat skin tests, blood tests, and exposure challenge after each new dose concentration.  If this treatment is successful, subjects will be eligible to remain on treatment long-term to see if they can return to latex environments.

Study will last 9 months or longer.
Latex injections weekly 4-6 months or longer, then every 2 weeks.
Diary keeping required.
Compensation and parking provided.

Volunteers are needed to join an 8 month research study with 10-12 office
visits.  The study will test an experimental oral medicine for fall/ragweed allergies.

  • Volunter must have fall/ragweed allergies and:
  • be 18 - 65 years of age.
  • use allergy medicines in the fall
  • not be on allergy shots, using beta-blockers,
  • or use asthma medicine more than 4x week

Participants will be paid $75.00 for each visit not including visit 1.

Volunteers are needed for a research study for people who have moderate to severe asthma not caused by allergies.  This is a 6-month research study with 11 office visits.  This study will test an experimental medication for non-allergic asthma.
Volunteers must be:

  • In general good health
  • 18 - 80 years old
  • Must not have allergies

 You will be paid up to $660.00

"A Single Blind, Randomized Study to Compare Monotherapy with an Inhaled Corticosteroid (Mometasone) to Combination Therapy with an Inhaled Corticosteroid + a Long-acting Bronchodilator (Advair in Patients with Mild Persistent Asthma"
