Media Coverage
- The practice in very proud that CNN Anderson Cooper 360 approached Dr. David Goodman to do a feature on adult ADHD. Dr. Goodman and his patient were interviewed and featured on this program aired in March 2006. The program highlighted the diagnosis and successful treatment of this condition and the patient’s satisfaction with an improved quality of life.

As a recognized national expert in adult ADHD, Dr. Goodman was pleased to be interviewed by Dr. Timothy Johnson at ABC News Now in April 2006. Dr. Goodman spoke about the under-recognition of adults with ADHD and the significant impairments that occur in ones life.
In a live TV interview at WUSA-TV News(CBS Washington, DC) May 31, 2006, Dr. Goodman offered his expertise on diagnosis and treatment of ADHD, specifically in adolescent and adults.
Dr. Goodman was the spokesperson for the launch of ResponsibleRX.com for the National Consumer League. This press conference took place at the National Press Club in Washington, DC on March 20, 2006. An adult patient of Dr. Goodman’s presented his story and struggles with ADHD as a man, father, husband and successful business owner.

Live TV interview at WTTG (Fox- Washington, DC) on June 5, 2005. Dr. Goodman and his patient were interviewed on adult ADHD and treatment with stimulant medications.
Dr. Goodman was asked to serve as the national spokesperson along with Ty Pennington, host of ABC’s Extreme Makeover-Home Edition to promote “Experts on Call”, an annual national program from New York City that provides experts in ADHD to be available by phone for 18 hours to answer questions from people around the country. Mr. Pennington has publicly acknowledged his ADHD and advocates treatment. Dr. Goodman and Mr. Pennington conducted a series of live TV interviews broadcast around the country to discuss his support for “Expert on Call”. April, 2005.

In a series of radio interviews (live and taped) on adult ADHD on October 26, 2004, Dr. Goodman provided his expertise on ADHD for stations in Greensboro, NC, Syracuse, NY, South Bend, IN, Youngstown, OH and Portland, OR.

Taped TV interview for WMAR (ABC-Baltimore) April 4, 2004 on a new teen survey on ADHD, acceptance and treatment.
Live radio interviews had requested Dr. Goodman to speak on ADHD in women. These interviews occurred on WEAA-FM in Baltimore, MD, WGBR-AM in Raleigh, NC, KCMN-AM in Colorado Springs, KTRC-AM in Sante Fe, NM. These interviews took place between March 2002 and April 2003.
- In an article on adult ADHD in BusinessWeek magazine, Oct 27, 2003, Dr. Goodman is again quoted for his recognized expertise in this area. His remarks on adult ADHD are also quoted in Health magazine, October 2003.
- Dr. Goodman's Op-Ed article on adult ADHD was published in the Lexington Herald-Leader newspaper (October 11, 2003) and the Roanoke Times (October 1, 2003)
- Scott Erye, the San Francisco Giant pitcher, has ADHD and was profiled in the Washington Post on Oct 4 2003. Dr. Goodman provided background information to the author and was quoted.
- Responding to an editorial on ADHD in the Wall Street Journal, Dr. Goodman had his letter to the editor published in The Wall Street Journal on July 31, 2003. He highlighted the growing and substantial medical research, neurological evidence and benefit of effective treatment, much of which was misrepresented in the original editorial.
- In April 2003, Dr. Goodman was interviewed live on WBFF-TV (FOX-Baltimore, MD) with a mother and daughter who have ADHD and are treated with the same medication. The mother, an interior designer and patient of Dr. Goodman, reported a 70% increase in her business in 4 months after starting ADHD medication.
- The Baltimore Sun ran an article February 23, 2003 on adult ADHD and coaching. Dr. Goodman was quoted on the benefits of coaches and organizational techniques.
- Dr. Goodman's psychiatric commentary about Oakland's football center, Barrett Robins and his diagnosed Bipolar Disorder was featured in two live TV interviews on ESPN Sports Center (6:10pm) and ESPN News Center (6:20pm) on January 28, 2003. His interview was aired the next day on ESPN radio.
- Dr. Goodman was quoted in The Union Leader (New Hampshire) Sunday, August 11, 2002 in two articles on insurance companies' denial of stimulant medications for adult patients requiring more than typical pediatric doses.
- Dr. Goodman was quoted in American Medical News, March 18, 2002 on ADHD in adults.
- Dr. Goodman has appeared on WMAR-TV (ABC-Baltimore, MD) February 25, 2002 at 6:10 am in a live interview on "Adult ADHD". On March 1, 2002, he appeared on WBFF-TV (FOX-Baltimore, MD) at 6:50 am in a live interview on "Adult ADHD". On March 4, 2002, he was interviewed on WEAA-FM at 8:30 am on "Adult ADHD".
- An article on adult ADHD was published in the USA Weekend Magazine, a supplement to Sunday newspapers around the United States, on July 15, 2001. Dr. David W. Goodman helped develop several questions for the readers to distinguish ADHD in adults. This publication has a circulation of 47 million readers. On July 16, 2001, Dr. Goodman was the featured guest on the USA Today website for an online chat to answer questions that readers might have concerning issues raised in the article.
- Dr. Goodman was interviewed and quoted in an article on the controversy of adult ADHD for the New York Daily News, article published April 16, 2001.
- Dr. David W. Goodman has been the featured guest on four PBS programs focused on Major Depression, Panic Disorder and Premenstrual Syndrome/Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder. These programs are distributed to national affiliate stations in major metropolitan cities around the United States.
- Dr. David W. Goodman and a successfully treated ADHD adult patient spent 2 days in New York City (April 30-May 1, 2001) doing over 25 live and taped radio interviews around the country on the diagnosis, education and treatment of adult ADHD.
- Dr. David W. Goodman has been quoted in Glamour magazine for an article on Ritalin abuse by non-ADHD people in the June 2001 edition.
- Dr. David W. Goodman published an article on psychiatric medications in pregnancy/breast feeding in Addvance Magazine, November issue 2000.
- Dr. Goodman was quoted in Self Magazine, "Could you get hooked on this pill?", June 2000. The article discussed the growing concern for Ritalin use by those women without ADHD.
- Dr. David W. Goodman, recognized for his expertise in adult ADHD, has quoted in U.S. News and World Report, "Not just kid stuff anymore" February 21, 2000, pages 48-49. Article reviewed adult presentation of learning disorders and ADHD.

- Currently, all scheduled presentations are being presented to physicians and mental health professions. We will continue to provide listings of presentations available to the general public. We remain very active in our educational pursuit to inform the public and clinicians. Our psychiatric expertise is sought by TV, radio and print media.
